We wanted to share a quick update with our community.

After a lot of reflection, we’ve made the decision not to host Dirt Fest by YFC GRVL in 2026.

This wasn’t an easy decision for us, and it comes with a lot of mixed emotions. Dirt Fest was something we cared deeply about, and bringing it to life last year was a dream. There isn’t an easy way to sum up all of the reasons behind this decision. Some of it is out of our control, and some of it comes down to being honest about our capacity as a small crew of two organizers and what we can realistically take on in a sustainable way.

Our goal has always been about creating an inclusive, welcoming and community-driven gravel space in our little corner of the world. None of that has changed. The support we received — from riders, volunteers, friends and partners — meant more to us than we can properly put into words. Thank you, truly, for showing up and helping create something special.

What’s next? Honestly, we’re taking some time to figure that out. We don’t see this as the end of what Dirt Fest represented, but just a pause and a chance to re-imagine what something like this could look like in the future in a way that better fits our capacity and values. So for now, we’re pausing.

In the meantime, YFC GRVL will continue to operate as usual — focused on community rides and experiences that centre connection, inclusion and having a good time on bikes. Be sure to follow us at YFC GRVL - A Cycling Collective to stay up to date.

We’re so grateful to every single person who believed in this idea and helped make the first Dirt Fest happen.

It’s been a few weeks since the event and we’re still thinking about all the fun we had during our the inaugural Dirt Fest by YFC GRVL - A Cycling Collective. Thank you for showing up and hanging with us at Crabbe Mountain for a weekend of community, grit, and good vibes. We’re so thankful for you and we can wait to ride bikes with you again next season. 🤘

Day 1 is here! 🔥

Check-in starts at 4:30pm and shakeout ride is at 6pm. Easy pace, 24km ish, good way to stretch the legs ahead of race day. No pre-registration required, just come see us at the registration table when you get here.

If you purchased a ticket for dinner tonight, they will be serving from 6:30-8pm. We’ll have your ticket at check-in.

The sun has set on Crabbe Mountain and we’re almost ready to welcome you. 🫶

The Into the Gnar crew has settled in and the vibes are so good. Industry partners started rolling in with more arriving tomorrow. Camping area is already bumpin’. Stoke is high.

This has been a labour of love and you’re the reason we decided to do this. Dirt Fest is our gift to the gravel community, so we hope you’ll enjoy it.

They enjoy good beer, good people, and never taking life too seriously - that's something we can definitely get on board with!

Heads up Nackawic-Millville Rural Community! We’ll have lots of riders on your roads and trails on Saturday. Let’s share the road and cheer on the participants 🙌

Dirt Fest by YFC GRVL is coming to Crabbe Mountain on September 20th. As New Brunswick's first and only gravel cycling race, this event offers three distances (55km, 95km and 145km), catering, camping, the ultimate après, and so much more. Dirt Fest also serves as the first VeloNB gravel Provincial Championship!

Residents of the Nackawic-Millville Rural Community can expect to see increased bike traffic on the roads between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 20th. Please be mindful of riders, share the road safely by giving them lots of room, and cheer them on if you see them pass by!

We're one week away from Dirt Fest Day 1, and registration officially closes today, which means it is also the last day to transfer registrations or swap distances. We were planning to close registration at the end of the night tonight, but y'all have been signing up in huge waves the last couple of days, and we are now almost sold out, so we may have to close early - be quick and grab those last few spots!

Reminder that we can no longer guarantee merch at this stage given the influx of registrations this week, but you'll still receive drink tickets, a post-ride meal, access to the Ultimate Après, and camping should you wish to join us for the weekend!

Wow! Thank you all so much your registering for Dirt Fest. We’ve seen a significant influx of registrations this week which means we are now getting very close to hitting our max for participants. Please note that merch is very limited at this stage and we can no longer guarantee it with your entry. But don’t worry there are still some spots left! Merch will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis for any new registrations until we sell out or close registration on Sept 12. No matter what, you can still expect to receive drink tickets, a post-ride meal, the Ultimate Après, and camping should you wish to join us for the weekend!
