Some performances feel less like a concert—and more like a shared moment. That’s the magic of Those Folk.

This husband-and-wife duo (Lawrence Menard & Clare Quinn) brings together folk traditions from across the globe, blending Americana roots with rich storytelling and stunning vocal harmonies.

Their songs explore love, hope, belonging, and the human experience—carried by a warm mix of guitar, mandolin, banjo, and accordion that feels both timeless and fresh.

With a sound inspired by classic folk duos and a stage presence full of genuine connection, Those Folk create the kind of performance that draws you in—and keeps you there.

Under the prairie sky, surrounded by community, their music is right at home. 🌾

If you’ve been around the Fair for a while, you already know these three are Fair Family through and through. They’ve supported SCF for years, performed multiple times on our stages, and have become true fan favourites — the kind of act that brings everyone to their feet and reminds us why this festival feels like home.
This Calgary‑rooted trio blends roots, rockabilly, folk, proto‑jazz, and vintage gems into a high‑energy, dance‑ready show that’s impossible not to love. Their sets move effortlessly from Hendrix to Hank Williams, from jug‑band classics to deep‑cut blues, all delivered with their signature vintage style and infectious rhythm.

Artist Spotlight: Welcome back, Leaf Rapids! 🌾✨

We are happy to welcome Leaf Rapids back to the South Country stage this July.

The Winnipeg-based four-piece—Keri Latimer, Devin Latimer, Joanna Miller, and Chris Dunn—returns with their signature "Cinematic Canadiana" sound. Their music is a beautiful blend of sweet harmonies, lush guitar, and the ethereal pull of the theremin, capturing the vastness and mood of the prairie landscape.
From their rootsy storytelling to the spacey, spaghetti-western vibes of their latest record, Velvet Paintings, their performances have always felt right at home in Fort Macleod. We look forward to hearing how their sound has evolved since they last joined us.

Welcome back, Bobby Dove! ✨🎶

After an unforgettable performance in 2023, we knew we had to bring this incredible talent back to the banks of the Oldman River.

Born in Montreal and now based in rural Manitoba, Bobby is a true troubadour of the Canadian country and Americana scene. Since we last saw them at the Fair, Bobby has been busy crafting their brand-new album, Fortune Teller, dropping April 24th!

We can’t wait to hear these new stories and honky-tonk melodies echo through the trees at Fort Macleod. Whether you remember their last set or are discovering this music for the first time, Bobby’s powerful voice and masterfully crafted songs are a highlight you won’t want to miss.
