❤️ Just a few days away! Our Tree of Kindness – Adopt a Senior program is almost here! We’re getting ready to spread a little extra Christmas cheer to seniors in our community and we NEED YOUR HELP! If you tried last year and weren’t able to be a part of the fun, we’ve expanded so there’s lots of love to be shared with even MORE folks than before! ❤️ Stay tuned… more details coming shortly! 🎄❤️

Many of you may know, one of our long-standing members, Carl, passed with his family by his side. Carl continuously supported The Forest Agricultural Society, Glencoe Agricultural Society, Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) and Agricultural Societies across Ontario. We will carry on his dedication, advocacy and support for Ontario agriculture. To have known Carl was to be loved by Carl and his family. Thank you Carl, for your dedication to our organization. Rest peacefully. Our thoughts are with Carl’s family, fair families and friends. ❤️

Sadly, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with his family by his side, Carl Louis DeSchutter of Kettle Point passed away after a sudden, overwhelming, and ongoing health battle. A reason our Forest Fall Fair is as successful as it is, is due to our community groups volunteering their time to give the Forest Agricultural Society members a hand! Whether it be helping at the gates, parking, in the kitchen or groundskeeping, we truly could not do it without assistance! If you know of an organization that might be interested in please send us a message!

Our Forest Fair Baby "Show Off" Contest this year was so much fun! We had so many adorable little ones come to show off their infectious smiles, beautiful eyes, great costumes, hairstyles and dance moves, it was a great morning!! Everyone was able to go home with a special gift for coming to join us and a few went home with some special "titles"! Thank you to everyone who came and participated and made this a fun experience again this year!!

Today we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. We remember the lost children and honour the resilience of residential school Survivors. Reconciliation starts with the truth, and it requires our continuous listening, learning, and action every single day.
