BIG BBQ NEWS FOR ESSEX FUN FEST!

We are fired up to welcome three incredible rib teams to the Ideal Festival Food Court at Essex Fun Fest, July 2nd to 5th.

These are not ordinary food vendors. These are professional rib teams that travel from festival to festival, competing for awards, bragging rights, and the title of best ribs, best sauce, best pulled pork, people’s choice, and more.

Coming to Essex Fun Fest:

Jack the Ribber
Based in St. Thomas, Ontario, Jack the Ribber is a professional BBQ team that travels across Ontario and Canada. Their team has more than 20 years of BBQ experience and has won over 500 awards.

Crazy Canuck Smokehouse
Crazy Canuck brings authentic Southern-style BBQ with a Canadian flare. They are currently located in Brantford and are known for ribs, pulled pork, brisket, BBQ chicken, beans, slaw, and smokehouse favourites.

Route 55 BBQ
Route 55 BBQ is a Canadian-owned professional BBQ team competing at ribfests across Canada. Their concept is built around authentic Southern BBQ traditions with a Canadian twist.

When you see those huge rib boards, trophies, banners, and award signs, that is what rib competitions are all about. These teams travel from community to community, serving up championship-level BBQ and competing for the crowd’s vote.

Yes, the Essex Fun Fest shuttle bus is back.

A huge thank you to Paul Davis Windsor and Essex County for once again returning as one of our amazing Gold Sponsors and helping make free bus transportation possible during Essex Fun Fest.

Visitors will be able to walk to a shuttle stop, hop on the bus for free, and enjoy the festival without worrying about parking near the main grounds.

The route is different this year, so please check the updated map before you come.
