"These are few of the apparatuses we have at our station not including the 70’ ladder truck and Zodiac boat that service our beautiful Mi’kmaq community of Eskasoni. Our station operates 24 hours a day, with over 20 volunteer and 4 full time members we do our very best to keep the people and community safe!"

🌟 CALL FOR MI'KMAQ VENDORS 🌟

Unama’ki/Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design will be hosting our second Mi’kmaq Christmas Market on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 [12PM-6PM] at our Loft space in downtown Sydney!

We’re inviting Mi’kmaw artists based in Unama’ki working in contemporary and/or traditional handmade-craft to be vendors.

All craft mediums are welcome including beading, quillwork, basketry, textiles, and more!

Limited spots available. No fee required.

New vendors will go through product assessment by a committee of Mi’kmaw and settler individuals before being selected for the market.

Applications will be open until November 3rd, 2023.
