HEY FOLKIES! We know many of you are anxiously awaiting word on your crew placements. We have received well over 1000 volunteer requests (crew changes and new applications combined), and we are working hard to assign crews. Our Crew Change Requests and Youth Crew changes are almost complete, and we have just begun placing New Volunteer Applications. You will receive an email from the Volunteer Office in the next two weeks confirming your placement.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. Our goal is to ensure that everyone is placed on a crew where they will thrive and have fun; however, it is a bit like chess - we need to move one volunteer to make space for another.

Final days to get your application in for the Don Snider "Go Wildly Forward" Scholarship! Applications Close MAY 10th!

This scholarship recognizes and honours EFMF volunteers who demonstrate, through their actions and attitudes, a positive motivation to be engaged meaningfully in the community and the world at large.

Those selected will have a spirit of adventure, a desire to communicate, and a willingness to share their knowledge and experience with others. Don Snider embodied these qualities over 40 years of working in the Arts, as Production Manager of the EFMF, and travelling the world.

Applicants must:
- Be a current Volunteer for the Edmonton Folk Music Festival
- Be in good standing with the Festival for at least two years
- Intend to pursue a program of study leading to a recognized licence, certificate, diploma, undergraduate or professional degree

One recipient of the scholarship will receive one two-year $12,000 scholarship and the second will be awarded $3,000. Deadline to apply is May 9th.

HEY FOLKIES!
Crew Change Requests are officially closed, but you have until March 31 to confirm your plans for the 2026 festival, taking place August 6-9th!

We are excited to see so many of our returning volunteers have confirmed for this year's festival.

If you have yet to share your plans for this year, head to your volunteer profile on MyVolunteerPage.com or through our l!ink in b!o and follow the instructions below:

1. Log in to your MyVolunteerPage.com account.
2. Hover on the "My Profile" tab on the top right of your screen.
3. Click on "Additional Info" from the expanded list.
4. Select your crew from the drop-down.
5. Fill out the "Returning Volunteers" section to indicate your plans.
6. Scroll down to "Personal Pronouns" and update if desired (this will be on your badge)
7. Scroll down to "About You" and verify your T-Shirt size is correct
7. IMPORTANT - Click the blue "SAVE" button at the bottom right of the screen.
8. Hover on the "My Profile" tab on the top right of your screen & click on "Contact Info". Make sure everything is up to date.
9. REMEMBER - Click the blue "SAVE" button at the bottom right of the screen.
10. BONUS "Update photo" and upload a current picture of you (head and shoulders, no hats/sunglasses please!)

Now you are all ready to go for this year's festival!

For those waiting, we will begin processing Crew Change Requests mid-April and New Volunteer Applications in mid-May.

If you haven't already, now's the time for returning volunteers to log into their volunteer profile at MyVolunteerPage.com and let us know your plans for this year's festival! (August 6-9) and/or request a crew switch. Follow these instructions below:

1. Log in to your Volunteer Profile at MyVolunteerPage.com
2. Click the "My Profile" tab on the far right of your screen
3. Select the "Additional Info" header in the drop-down menu
4. Select your crew from the drop-down
5. Fill out the "Returning Volunteers" section to indicate your plans
6. IMPORTANT - Click the "SAVE" button at the bottom right of your screen
7. Click the "My Profile" tab at the upper right of your screen & select "Contact Information" from the drop-down
8. Upload a current photo (head and shoulders only, no hats or sunglasses, please!)
9. Update your contact information as needed
10. IMPORtANT - Click the "SAVE" button at the bottom of the screen

**If you are requesting a crew change, make sure you email the [email protected] with CREW CHANGE REQUEST in the subject line and your preferred crews no later than MARCH 18th.

Returning Volunteers have until APRIL 1st to confirm their plans. Crew Changes will begin in mid-April.

New Volunteers applications are open now and will be placed starting in mid-May.

Happy New Year, Volunteers!

We are so excited to celebrate the new year with you! Wishing you a very happy and healthy 2026, filled with much joy, good health and a bounty of live music!

A quick reminder to mark your calendars! Starting January 6, 2026 you can let us know if you plan on joining us for the 2026 Festival (August 6-9), by logging on to your volunteer profile. Here, you can confirm whether you will return to your crew or request a crew switch. Applications for new volunteers will open in early February.

The EFMF remains closed through January 6. Until then, keep warm, and we can't wait to connect with you in the new year!

Thank you so much to all the businesses that donated fun experiences for our volunteers! We appreciate your generosity.

is a private campground which offers cozy glamping accommodations. Guests can spend the day hiking, canoeing, and maybe even spot some bison or other wildlife. In the area there is The Ukrainian Cultural Village, which will surely delight all visitors with its charms.

offers a range of activities and rentals to explore the North Saskatchewan River valley. They are known for their Segway tours, but also provide mountain bike rentals, stand-up paddleboarding, and sports equipment.
