From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all the attendees, instructors, staff, volunteers, band members, sound techs, DJs, MC, and various coordinators who poured love, energy, and passion into Lindy Harvest 2025. 

Attendees, you turned this 20th-anniversary edition into something truly special. From the classy dinner & thoughtful speeches we enjoyed together, to the many great classes and social dances we shared, it was an unforgettable weekend. We did our best to deliver a memorable, meaningful experience, and we hope you enjoyed every bit of the festival. At the very least, thank you for coming and supporting our festival!

The incredibly talented instructors & musicians, alongside the sweet and legendary Sugar Sullivan, helped setup the weekend for success. Big thanks to Turlough, Brad, Miriam, and Matt for your part of the socials too. A huge shout-out to Sarah for coordinating all our volunteers this weekend. On a personal note, thank you to Paige and Czarina for organizing this event with me. The festival has grown beyond the means of one man, and it would not be all possible without you!

We had so many volunteers & staff help out, we can’t list them all without forgetting a few names, but wanted to mention a shout out to Spencer, Genevieve, Cam, Susan, Carmen, Jessica, Barhet, Emily, Nathan, Dominic, Hayley, Eve, Lymanh, Sydney, Arta, Adam, Peter, Nathan, Vitalii, Yulia, all our drivers, all our dance monitors, and our FOH & registration staff!

Not the update we hoped to share…

We have an unfortunate change to announce for Lindy Harvest this weekend: Chester Whitmore is no longer able to join us this year 💔 Chester has been unable to obtain the proper travel documents in order to cross the border into Canada, further complicated and delayed by the recent US government shutdown. We are so sorry, but it is simply not possible for us to get Chester across the border at the moment.

Yesterday marked the first day of Lindy Harvest, and it was a strong start. Classes were filled with energy, the floor was busy, and people left smiling. It was a wonderful start to the weekend. The party is absolutely still on, and we can’t wait to dance with you all weekend long!

We regretfully announce that Barbara will not be able to join us for Lindy Harvest this year. She has been advised by her doctor to postpone any current travel plans while she’s recovering from a shoulder surgery she underwent last month. She expresses her regrets for not being able to visit us, but she is recovering well at this time.

We wish her a speedy recovery and we hope to bring her back for another visit. Sugar will still be joining us this year, but sadly without her bestie.

🎶 Contests are back! Join in on Mix & Match or Solo Jazz - sign up in person at the front desk.

👔 Dress code fun all weekend long: Thursday is Hometown Shirts, Friday is Plaid/Tartan, Saturday is Formal, and Sunday is all about Cozy Fall Vibes.

We have a last-minute surprise to share… Todd Yannacone will be joining us at Lindy Harvest this year as a featured dance artist and competition judge! 🌟

Todd is a legend in the swing dance world, known for his artistry, musicality, and the way he brings jazz-era dances to life on the floor. His career has spanned over 30 countries and five continents, with countless championship titles under his belt, including wins at ILHC, the U.S. Open, and the National Jitterbug Championships. He is also a proud member of both the Camp Hollywood Hall of Fame and the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame.

Todd has performed alongside icons from Frankie Manning to Aretha Franklin, and was part of the celebrated Silver Shadows dance troupe. Whether he’s captivating an audience with his performance or lending his expertise on the judge’s panel, Todd’s presence is always unforgettable.

Meet Rachel Brown 🍂 One of Lindy Harvest’s guest instructors!

Rachel Brown is a dancer, teacher, director, and choreographer from Southern California whose love for dance drew her to Lindy Hop.

Rachel has won multiple swing dance competitions, including 1stplace in 2023 Lindy Focus solo jazz. She founded her own team, Soul Steppers, in 2023, and led them to a 1st place win at Camp Hollywood 2024! She is also the Dance Captain of the Los Angeles Swing Dance Posse performance team through which she works closely alongside her mentor, renowned choreographer Chester Whitmore, the organization’s Musical Director. Rachel’s choreography for Soul Steppers and Los Angeles Swing Dance Posse showcases her unique artistic style as well as her remarkable creativity and talent.

Rachel has seen the transformative power of dance and is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills with the younger generation. She fosters her students’ technical abilities and artistic expression, while nurturing their confidence, creativity, and love of the art form. Rachel also continues her own personal growth as a college student majoring in dance. She a life-long learner and, in as many ways as she can – whether that be performing, teaching, competing, choreographing, or social dancing – she is destined to continue sharing her love of dance!
