The Edmonton Underground Film Festival returns with a mesmerizing curation of short films from the Underground Highway.
Throughout two programs EUFF will screen local and global short films, sharing vanguard selections with the Chicago, Ann Arbor, Moviate, Portland, and Moving Image Underground Film Festivals as well as the Barcelona, London and Paris Erotic Film Festivals.
The festival concludes with a late night screening of experimental cult films set to a new compilation of commissioned sound with a live overture by experimenral duo ATTOSECOND.

ATTOSECOND is a powerful sonic duo of Gary James Joynes and Elijah Hennig, blending ambient, industrial, and doom metal into immersive soundscapes. Drawing from Joynes’ deep roots in modular synthesis and bass guitar and Hennig’s visceral command of electric guitar, drums, and synthesizers, their collaboration is a blend of heavy textures and atmospheric depth. Together, they create intense, cinematic compositions where meditative drones collide with crushing rhythms—bridging the ethereal and the elemental. Their performances are both sonically and visually arresting, pushing the boundaries of genre and experience.
