Pancreatic Cancer Canada 's Run For Survival The largest run in Western Canada dedicated to supporting pancreatic cancer research, advocacy, and support programs.

Pancreatic Cancer Canada’s Run For Survival (formerly known as Kathy’s Run) began in Edmonton in 2011 in honour of Kathy McCollum, who lost her fight with pancreatic cancer. Kathy’s passion for running inspired her friends, family, and colleagues to create this event to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research. In its first year, the goal for the run was to recruit 100 participants and raise $10

,000. The support was overwhelming: the first run had almost 500 participants and raised more than $50,000. Fast forward 13 years, and the race has since raised over $950,000 and engaged thousands of participants. By participating in Run For Survival, you will help those Canadians impacted by this terrible disease and support our efforts to improve survival rates.

We made history at thanks to your incredible support! This year's event welcomed more than 400 participants, who together raised over $77,000 to fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research, and vital patient and family support services across Canada.

What began as Kathy’s Run in 2011, has now raised over $1 million to-date! Every footstep, every cheer, and every contribution helps bring us closer to a world where pancreatic cancer is no longer a death sentence. For that, we cannot thank you enough.
