For two decades, we have organized at Giovanni Caboto Park in the McCauley neighbourhood, offering a free and inclusive weekend celebration of community and emerging art from . he Heart of the City Festival Society of Edmonton holds a long-standing mandate for community development, envisioning “Inspiration and Opportunity through The Arts.” For the past two decades, our annual summer festival

in Giovanni Caboto Park has contributed to community revitalization in McCauley, uncovering the community’s hidden strengths and encouraging citizens from all walks of life to experience the vibrant character of our inner city in a safe, positive way.

Here’s the schedule for Saturday, pals!

3:00 pm - Sign in / Registration opens. This is where you will receive your T-Shirt, Bannock and Jam served, sign up for the Jam opens, tarot card readings by Raylene Marks

3:15 pm - Greetings from Anne Stevenson, O-Day'min's city Councilor, Youth performances by the Well Network

4:45 pm - Stella Johnson performs

5:30 pm - Caribbean Food served by Island Spice

6:00 pm - For the first time ever, Heart of the City Board members perform

6:30 pm - Tiger Coffee performs a set, sign up for the jam closes

7:15 pm - Greetings from Janis Irwin, MLA

7:30 pm - Sign along / Jam on our 6 songs begins, lead by Tiger Coffee

8:15 pm - Jam session with those who signed up, lead by Tiger Coffee

10:00 pm - Close

Hello neighbours, unfortunately Heart of the City made the diificult choice not to hold the two day festival this year. We made the choice due to lack of reliable funding and organizational support. We hope that some of our neighbours who love the two day Heart of the City Festival will step up and join our board so that we can hold the festival next summer. We start planning for next year in September.
