GRILL N’ GIVE for Elyse and Garrett

Both Elyse and Garrett are friends of The Brixton both professionally and personally. After hearing about Monday’s accident our team wanted to do something to help support. This Saturday proceeds from all burgers sold (takeout and dine-in) will be donated. To clarify, our burgers are $22, so the full $22 from every single burger will be sent to Garrett and Elyse.

That’s a wrap on Seaside Daze 2025!

The great lineup of events is thanks to the dedication and hard work of so many incredible individuals and community groups. With that being said, we'd like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who hosted an event, volunteered their time, sponsored the festival, or contributed in any way. We continue to be impressed by Dominion's community spirit year atter year.

See you in 2026 from July 24th to August 2nd!

The fireworks are TONIGHT at dusk. They will be set off in a central location again this year and will be visible from various spots - Dominion Legion, Marcia Fiolek Memorial Playground, Dominion Rink, etc.

It’s the final day of Seaside Daze 2025! Don’t miss out on the great events happening today:

Sunday, July 27th:

• 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - FIREFIGHTER’S KIDDIES DAY at Dominion Beach. Join us at the
Dominion Beach parking lot for a fun-filled day the whole family will love! Enjoy Bingo, a reptile show, bouncy houses, games of chance, face painting, temporary tattoos, and so much more. The Fire Department will once again be serving up hot dogs and pop for just $0.50 each! With the beach just steps away, make a full day of it—bring your towels, sunscreen, and swimsuits and enjoy the sun and sand before or after the festivities. You won’t want to miss it! Sponsored by the Dominion Volunteer Fire Department Station 24.

• 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - LIVE ENTERTAINMENT with Jocelyn & Sheldn at the Auld Shamrock. Visit their page for more information.

• 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. - FIREWORKS WARM UP at the Dominion Legion Branch 78.
Come up to the legion ballfield to get a great view of one of the best fireworks displays in Cape Breton. Kid’s Karaoke provided by DJ Melvin MacNeil to entertain everyone while we wait for the main attraction to end another fabulous Seaside Daze. The Legion and Bar will be open for those wanting to relax in air-conditioned comfort and maybe watch the fireworks from our awesome deck.

• 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. - FIREWORK SOCIAL at the Dominion Community Hawks Club. Come on down and enjoy some live music from Final Cut at the Hawks Club! Must be 19 years of age or older. • Dusk - CAPE BRETON’S FAVOURITE FIREWORK DISPLAY Gather the family and look
to the skies as we close out Seaside Daze with a spectacular fireworks display! Firefighters will be lighting the fireworks off at a spot that is centrally located in Dominion. Sponsored by the Dominion Volunteer Fire Department Station 24 and Dominion and Area Recreation Society.

AFTER THE FIREWORKS..

• 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. - CLOSING SOCIAL at the Dominion Firehall. After the fireworks, join us to celebrate another successful Seaside Daze Festival. Dance the night away with great tune provided by Clare of Party Pulse Mobile DJ. 19+ event. ID upon request. Sponsored by the Dominion Volunteer Fire Department Station 24.

Day 9! Here’s what’s happening today:

Saturday, July 26th:

• 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. - LET’S PLAY SOME GOLF at Passchendaele. Tee times run from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 4-person scramble, $30 per person with prize presentations at the McNeil Room at 8:00 p.m and music by Derek Jerrott and Kevin Kelly from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 pm. • 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - WASHER TOSS at the Dominion Community Hawks Club. This event is open to those 19 years of age and older. Registration is at 12:00 p.m. with the toss starting at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $5.00 per person with teams drawn from a hat and all the monies returned in prizes. • 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - FAMILY FAIR NIGHT at the Dominion Firehall. Try your luck at our exciting ALL-AGES family fair night - no real gambling, just real fun! Purchase ‘Firebucks’ to play classic fair-style games to earn tickets, then enter those tickets into prize draws for the items you want most. The more tickets you win, the better your chances! The Dominion Beautification Committee will be hosting the 1st Annual Seaside Daze Golf Tournament tomorrow, July 26th, at Passchendaele Golf Club.

There will be prize presentations, snacks, and drinks at the MacNeil Room (Dominion Arena) following the completion of the tournament (approx 8PM).
