Hey all,

I just called the campsite that we're using for PopCamp and they are starting to fill up for tenting/limited hookup sites. So if you haven't booked your spot yet and want to camp with the crew, do it soon.

They allow 4 adults per site. So even if one person books it for your undetermined group, it will ensure we can all be at the same spot. Also, please do not mention that you are with a bunch of other people as this may draw suspicion to our group prior to our arrival. There will be plenty of time to do that once we arrive.

The votes are in and we'll be spending our Pop Camp 2016 weekend in the South Okanogan area of British Columbia.

We'll be camping around Peachland/Summerland for a long weekend, swim/shower in the water and skate as many of the parks in the area as possible (link below). There are grocery stores in town, 2 massive lakes just off the highway, all the sunburnt skin you could ask for...and a bunch of campgrounds to choose from.

Next up, we need to pick a weekend, so please vote on that below. Once we have a date selected, I'll call around about what campgrounds are available and we can all book our sites from there.

We are going to book our camp sites later today. We're thinking Silver Sage Campground is the best choice. It is just across the bridge from downtown Kamloops and is only a few minutes drive to everywhere. Where is everyone else planning on staying?

Ladies and gentlemen,

You wanted answers and we've got them for you! We thought it'd be fitting to return this year's Pop Camp (previously Popularity Contest) to the beautiful city of Kamloops, BC. This wheely booted gathering will take place August 28th-30th, 2015.

Unlike the past 12 years, this event will be adapting a much more laid-back approach that has made events like the NorthWest Shred Tour and the Colorado Roadtrip so well-liked. There will be an all-day session at McArthur Island Park on the 29th (Saturday). Food and drinks will be provided throughout the day free of charge. At the end of the session, everyone who skated will vote for Mr. Popular.

We've looked into a few campgrounds close to the city that will be able to accommodate us. Feel free to weigh in on which campground you'd prefer so we can all coordinate.

While we've setup the basics, we want everyone to have their say on what comes of the weekend. Do a crew of you want to organize a roller hockey tournament? Great. Maybe a downhill race on Kamloops' longboard track? Sick. It's entirely up to the group. Let's start a discussion about the extra activities you want at this year's Pop Camp and go from there.

It's going to be a team effort this year! We hope you can make it out to skate the greatest skatepark in the world and most importantly, hang with the homies.

Darren Potts put together the edit from the 2014 Pop Contest. Thank you so much to him for that. And a huge thank you to Shop-Task and Seba for the continued support. We could not have pulled it off without you. Also, thank you to everyone who made the trip out and to everyone who helped out. If anyone has arrived in Vancouver early, we'll be playing some ball hockey (and consuming some beverages) later this evening as a pre-Pop get together.

Details: Queen Elizabeth Park Hockey Rinks, 4600 Cambie St. Vancouver, BC. 6PM (Probably closer to 7PM) puck drop. BYO stick and brews, we've got the BALLS!!!
