ONE DAY AWAY!

Snowbird one, known as Snowbird lead or BOSS, comprises of Snowbird 1A, Sergeant Shane Votour and Snowbird 1, Major Brent Handy.

Sergeant Votour was born in Lahr, Germany, and raised in Oromocto, New Brunswick. He has been with the team since 2021 and is the Crew Chief of the 2025 Snowbirds.  

Major Handy from Wyevale, Ontario and was selected to join the Canadian Forces Snowbirds in 2011. He served as Snowbird 9 for two years, then remained with the Snowbirds and at 2 Canadian Air Division as a Standards Pilot until his retirement from the Regular Force in 2019. He ended up re-enrolling in the Canadian Armed Forces in 2021 where he returned to the Snowbirds in 2023 as Team Lead for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

However, you all know Major Brent Handy as team lead of the Northern Stars Aerobatic Team and as a long-time performer at your Boundary Bay Airshow! We are beyond excited to welcome him back to Boundary Bay now as the boss of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds!!!

TWO DAYS AWAY!!

Snowbird two comprises of Snowbird 2A Corporal Avery Arsenault, Snowbird 2A Corporal John Morrison, and Snowbird 2 Captain Caitie Clapp.

Corporal Arsenault was born and raised in Kinkora, Prince Edward Island, has been with the team since 2022 and is an Aviation Systems Technician.

Corporal Morrison is from Burnaby, British Columbia, joined the Snowbirds in 2021 and is an Aviation Systems Technician.

Captain Clapp was born in Ottawa, Ontario, has been with the team since 2022 and is flying in the Inner Right Wing position.

THREE DAYS AWAY!

Snowbird three comprises of Snowbird 3A, Master Corporal David McCaig, Snowbird 3A, Corporal Patrick Androga, and Snowbird 3, Captain Patrick Charette.

Master Corporal McCaig was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, and raised in Colonsay, Saskatchewan. He has been with 431 Squadron since 2021 and is an Avionics Systems Technician.

Corporal Patrick Androga was born in Torit, South Sudan and is in his first year with the team as an Avionics Systems Technician.

Captain Charette was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and grew up on the North Shore of Montréal, Quebec. He is in his second year with the Snowbirds and is currently flying in the Inner Left Wing position.
