AQUA (3.8k / 180k/ 300m) – Featuring the full distance swim and bike, yet only the shortest of runs – It’s the world’s longest Try-A-Tri! This is YOUR race).

(If you love long-distance events, but for any reason prefer not to run? EPIC (3.8k / 180k / 21.1k) – The ideal long distance training day in preparation for a late season Iron-distance race, or the perfect long-distance triathlon if you prefer the bike to the run. (There is also a team event for teams of three at the EPIC distance.) IRON (3.8k / 180k / 42.2k) – The full Iron-distance event, thoug

h tougher to complete than an IRONMAN event, due to shorter time cut-offs (must finish within 15 hours to complete). TERRA (Run 10.5 k / Cycle 180k / Run 31.5 k) – a Long Distance Duathlon

EPIC TEAM (3.8k / 180 OR 90k + 90k / Run 21.1 k) Can have teams of 2, 3 or 4 people. EPIC KIDS - For kids ages 6 to 16 and will vary in length - designed to encourage kids to try a Triathlon. EPIC Canadian - a Canadian-themed, Family Friendly, 5k and 10K run & walk for Canada Day Weekend. EPIC Dartmouth is for triathletes from across North America and the World who are curious to experience a Triathlon or distance event in the beautiful province of Nova Scotia. MacDonald Bridge Bikeway Connector Project

Regional Council voted unanimously to approve the $7.4 million dollar MacDonald Bridge bikeway project. The project will include new bike lanes on both sides of the bridge, as well as a flyover ramp both on and off the bridge. The project will make it easier for cyclists to move across the harbour, and is expected to be completed in 2020. More information on the project is available at

EPIC Kids is not only, as one kid declared, "The Best Day of Summer", but also provides the largest single-day participation prize in Nova Scotia schools: $2,000 to the school that has the largest percentage of their school population participating (and $1,000 for second place).

Right now, FIVE schools are all within just one or two kids of top spot...
