Happy Friday everyone 🌎✨

We received a wonderful confirmation last night from The Canadian Lebanese Association of Prince Edward Island (CLA PEI), and we are excited to share that they will join DiverseCity Festival 2026 in Charlottetown as a Cultural Display participant.

Established in 1963, CLA PEI is a volunteer-led non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Lebanese heritage and culture on Prince Edward Island through community events, traditions, and cultural programming.

Through longstanding traditions such as the annual Lebanese Levee, CLA PEI continues to celebrate Lebanese culture while encouraging intercultural understanding and engagement across the Island.

Make sure to visit their cultural display in Charlottetown and learn more about Lebanese culture ✨

This summer, BCAPEI (Bangladeshi Canadian Association of Prince Edward Island) will be part of DiverseCity Festival 2026!

The organization unofficially started its journey in September 2024 and became a federally registered entity in March 2025. Since then, they have organized many meaningful events including Eid celebrations, Bangladesh Victory Day, Independence Day, community picnics, and sporting activities that bring people together across communities.

Today, with more than 200 active members, BCAPEI continues to grow and create a strong sense of belonging for Bangladeshi families on PEI. We are proud to celebrate alongside them during our 20th anniversary year of DiverseCity Festival.

Today’s spotlight shines on the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – PEI Branch. 💙💛

Ukraine, located in Eastern Europe, is a country rich in history, culture, music, dance, traditional embroidery, and strong community values. Ukrainian culture carries stories of resilience, hope, and togetherness that continue to inspire people around the world.

The Ukrainian community on the island began growing in 2021, and in 2023, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – PEI Branch was officially established to help preserve and celebrate Ukrainian culture while contributing to the multicultural spirit of Prince Edward Island.

This summer, they will once again share their culture, and community spirit with all of us at DiverseCity in Charlottetown. We can’t wait to see the stage come alive with the colours, music, and heart of Ukraine.

We are truly happy to have the support of cultural groups across PEI for DiverseCity Festival 2026!

Today, we would like to introduce the Canadian Vietnamese Association on PEI. Established in 2018, Vietnamese Community in PEI continues to grow and proudly share its beautiful culture, traditions, and strong sense of community.

This summer, the Vietnamese community will join DiverseCity as a Cultural Display at our festival in Charlottetown. Come visit their table to learn more about Vietnamese culture, see the beauty of the traditional “Áo Dài,” and experience a warm piece of Vietnam right here on the island.
