What do people think of the idea of the Farmer's Market being moved to Sunday afternoons and about if you sign up for 3 or more dates you get them for $5 each? The Farmer's Market might have to be canceled due to low registration.

We are so grateful to have been selected as a Spring Grant recipient from the Carberry & Area Community Foundation!

This funding will go a long way in helping us prepare for the Prairie Harvest Festival, including the purchase of a first aid kit and two tents to keep everyone safe and comfortable.

Congratulations to all of the other deserving recipients — it’s wonderful to see so many great initiatives being supported in our community!

The spring weather seems to have disappeared today but the Carberry and Area Community Foundation spring grants are ready to be announced!

The grants to Tiny Taters Childcare Co-op were made possible by the Thomas Sill Manitoba Fund, which provided granting dollars to Carberry and Area Community Foundation for use in 2026.
The Thomas Sill Foundation was established in 1987 by the last will of Thomas Sill, a Manitoba resident and chartered accountant with offices across the province. For decades, the Thomas Sill Foundation supported charitable activities in Manitoba, awarding grants to many communities with the vision that these communities would continue to grow and prosper.
At the end of 2023, the Thomas Sill Foundation wound down operations but wanted to ensure its longstanding legacy of supporting Manitoba continued. With some of the remaining resources, the Thomas Sill Manitoba Fund was established at The Winnipeg Foundation to benefit Endow Manitoba community foundation member communities like ours!

PHF St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser 2026 Financial Report

On March 13th, 2026, Prairie Harvest Festival held a fundraiser for St. Patrick’s Day at the Royal Canadian Legion #153, in Carberry, Manitoba.

The event brought in $1480.00 in ticket sales with 74 attendees.

Prairie Harvest Festival also received a generous anonymous donation for the amount of $200.00 to be put towards costs associated with holding this event.

A 50/50 was held, which brought in a total of $480.00, with half of that ($240.00) being won by Keith Loney.

Our costs included $540.00 for the band, which came from Winnipeg, and these costs included their mileage. $100.72 were costs incurred towards crackers, cheese, vegetables, pickles, shooter cups, disposable utensils, plates and napkins, for the light lunch that was provided.

In total, after costs were taken off, this fundraising event brought in $1279.28, which will be put into our high interest savings account to be used towards the main Festival on August 22, 2026.

We continue to thank the community for their support!
