As we celebrate the 10th Wings 'n' Wheels, we're reminded that events like this are made special not only by the aircraft, classic cars, and visitors, but also by the incredible people who generously share their time and talents behind the scenes.
One of those people is John from Deal Photography.
While most of us are still enjoying that first cup of coffee, John is already at the airportโand we mean really early! He arrives before the crowds, before the cars fill the field, and before the first aircraft has even finished parking, making sure he doesn't miss a single moment.
For ten years, John has captured the heart and soul of Wings 'n' Wheels.
The excitement of children seeing an airplane up close for the first time. The pride of owners polishing their collector cars. Volunteers working behind the scenes. Pilots arriving from near and far. Friends reuniting. Families making memories together. The smiles, the laughter, and the little moments that often go unnoticed.
Long after the tents are packed away and the aircraft have flown home, John's photographs remain. They remind us where we've been, how much this event has grown, and just how special our aviation community truly is.
His photos have become part of the history of Wings 'n' Wheels, preserving memories that we will treasure for years to come.
John, thank you for the countless early mornings, the long days behind the camera, endless hours sorting photos, your incredible talent and your unwavering support of Wings 'n' Wheels, Teenflight - Campbell River, and our community. Your generosity has given us something priceless, the gift of being able to relive these moments again and again.
If you see John with his camera on Sunday, July 12th, be sure to give him a wave (or your best smile!), you just might become part of the next chapter in the Wings 'n' Wheels story.
โค๏ธ Thank you, Deal Photography, for preserving ten years of memories... and here's to many more.
