_______________
Our 4-day intensive workshops for those working as ecotourism naturalists or captains, kayak guides, park staff, educators or others interested in gaining a deeper knowledge of BC’s marine mammals. Our goal with these courses is to create ambassadors along the coast that can amplify conservation messaging with their own audiences.
**Must be at least 18 years old to attend a Course**
_______________
We are offering four bursaries for those who reside in B.C. and have a strong potential to amplify the aims of the course, but who face financial barriers to attending.
The above link also leads to the bursary application form (click "Learn more"). Deadline for bursary application is February 15, 2026.
- Two bursaries are available for the Campbell River Course and two bursaries are available for the Port McNeill Course.
- The bursaries cover the cost of the Course and a Marine Mammals of British Columbia book (resource to complement the Course) - $688 value.
- One of the four bursaries will be eligible for additional coverage for travel and accommodation (up to $710 additional value). Support for the combined course and travel bursary was generously provided by the Alway-Connors Charitable Fund.
- Successful bursary applicants will be notified by March 1, 2026.
