Alongside my busy books, I offer a growing collection of sensory and creative activity products that encourage children to explore, create, and learn in fun and meaningful ways.

Peregrine Grounds Market is on the horizon! With an incredible lineup of vendors and the ideal spot to snag a Father's Day gift for the Father, Uncle or just that special someone in your life ❤️ With free admission and parking, a DJ and facepainting plus plenty of exciting things to do and see, you won’t want to miss this market!

Before we get to market day, we still have vendors to introduce like the well-known artist Kalum Teke Dan.

Chances are you've seen his murals all over Treaty 7 and beyond. And let's not forget Kiliana Divine Guidance, who is joining the market as well.

🎨 Kalum Teke Dan - I am Kalum Teke Dan, Blood Tribe and Blackfoot Nation. My art is more than just a visual expression—it's a connection to our ancestors, the land, and the spiritual traditions of my people. Each painting and mural I create reflects our resilience, our history, and our deep respect for the Earth. Through my work, I aim to bring Indigenous culture and wisdom into modern spaces, sparking conversations about healing, reconciliation, and the preservation of our heritage.

🎨 Kiliana Divine Guidance- My name is Kathy and I work closely with my resin art in a spiritual manor. I am a tarot reader as well. My daughter does a lot of her indigenous art that she has taught herself to do to help take care of her disabled cat.

In my adventures on my spiritual journey I have incorporated my resin art with natural gemstones and herbs with intention behind every unique design.

Tonight, just one week before we gather for our market, we bring you our non-profit for the event, as well as another one of our food vendors!

Please welcome 🪡 Sew Proud YYC 🧵

Sew Proud YYC creates eco-friendly, hand sewn products as a non-profit fundraiser to support our mission to teach Calgary's Q***r community how to sew and alter clothing to best fit their body and gender expression.

What an incredible non-profit to support during Pride month.

And on the topic of Pride we also introduce you to 🍰 Wicked Whisk 🎂 which is Calgary's own 2-Spirit Indigenous owned and operated bakery.

Wicked Whisk strives for inclusion in food and the community at large, regularly holding fundraisers to help under-served and marginalized individuals.

It's Friday, friends! Today we bring you Wastiyap Creations who will be bringing her beautiful work, as well as doing free facepainting for all the littles who come visit the market! We also bring you the unique works of Infinite Creator!

🔥 Wastiyap Creations - My modern designs are rooted in indigenous artwork, I am a status member of Lac La Ronge Indian Band, treaty six - Woodland Cree. With three children of my own, I pride myself on creativity in our home while keeping traditions sacred.

Over the past year, I’ve also invested in Face Painting purely for the joy on children’s faces. Being from a small town, I wanted to offer more to my home community and so happy to continue learning new skills!

🔥 Infinite Creator - I'm a local maker artist from calgary, I create highly realistic miniature scenes primarily focusing on forest floor themes, fungi and nature related art. Everything from fairy houses, polymer clay sculptures to wearable headpieces.

So many amazing vendors and fun to be had! We cannot wait to gather with an incredible community ♥️

It's another rainy Thursday but that doesn't mean market plans aren't well underway. Today we are working on the layout and where every vendor will be to create the best market experience for vendors and visitors alike. We are so grateful for the community we are building and incredible vendors like the two we are featuring today!

First up we have 🦢 Bright Swan Creations 🦢

Bright Swan Creations is a family flourishing business. Creativity in beading, sewing, pow wow dancing and drumming/singing.

We also have ✨️ The Witches Jeweller ✨️

The Witches’ Jeweller is a small home run business that came about after the owner became disabled. The items made are hypoallergenic and homeopathic, if she can’t wear or use it she won’t sell it. The business is run by Felice the owner and her friends, who help her every step of the way.

We love the community both of this creators surround themselves with and cannot wait to have them join in at Peregrine Grounds Market! ♥️

We sell fire safety equipment, fire blankets, extinguishers, ladders and smoke detectors.
At markets we do a bunch of draws for safety equipment and a money jar.

We have another two amazing vendor features for you tonight, including the first of ourfood vendors! Please welcome to the Solstice Market Wildbird Designs and Phoenix Fudge 🌻

🪺 Wildbird Designs:

Wildbird Designs is a Métis owned business based in Delburne, Alberta, within Métis Region 3. Chanel creates pyrography art with a heavy focus on animals and the moon. Pieces are elevated with gold foil to add a sense of whimsy and quiet magic that can be found in nature.

She also creates unique dream catchers fusing traditional designs with natural elements such as moss, antlers, and bones. Each one becomes a small world of its own created with intention, nature and connection.

🍪 Phoenix Fudge:

Phoenix fudge is a unique flavorful light creamy fudge. Hand crafted with quality and many varieties of flavors so there's something for everyone!

Serene Saulteaux Cree-ations is an Indigenous artist born and raised in Mohkinstsis who works makes jewelry and gifts from wood, shell, antler, acrylic, resin, glass, and more that they combine with new technologies like lasers and 3D printing. They work, and teach out of Fuse33 Makerspace in Forest Lawn and appreciate all the creativity people have.

Hello my name is Anika the one behind Sweet Stitch Company. I started crocheting as a little girl with my grandmother. She started me with chains and eventually went to dish cloths. I picked it up again about 5 years ago and started with dish cloths and I built up from there. I love creating but also love the joy on people’s faces when they adopt one of my cuddly creatures.
