We’re proud to welcome another outstanding leader to our 2026 Sport Summit Advisory Board, Grace Dafoe!

Grace is a born-and-raised Calgarian whose athletic journey is anything but ordinary. A self-proclaimed “former mediocre figure skater,” Grace found her true calling on the ice track, transitioning into skeleton and going on to represent Canada on the international stage for over a decade.

From 2014 to 2026, Grace competed in more than 90 international races as a proud member of Team Canada. Her career highlights include a 3rd place finish at the 2024 Canadian Championships and representing Canada on the World Cup circuit during the 2024–2025 season. Known for her grit, resilience, and fearless commitment to high-performance sport, Grace built a reputation as a dedicated competitor and teammate.
Since retiring from competition, Grace has continued to make an impact in the sport community. She has served as a Board Member with AthletesCAN since Fall 2025, advocating for athlete voices across the country, and proudly represents KidSport Calgary as an Ambassador, helping ensure young athletes have access to the opportunities that shaped her own journey.

Off the track, Grace works full-time as an Experience & Engagement Specialist with the non-profit Classroom Champions, where she helps connect students with mentorship and leadership programming inspired by elite athletes.

When she’s not empowering athletes or students, you’ll find Grace embracing her role as a proud dog mom, searching for the best coffee in every city she visits, and sharing life with her husband—a former Canadian luge athlete—whom she met at Canada Olympic Park, where many Canadian sliding sport love stories begin.

Grace brings authenticity, humor, and firsthand experience from elite sport to every room she enters, inspiring others to chase big goals—no matter where they start.

We’re proud to welcome Tammy Snell-Kristiansen, MBA, as the newest member of the Sport Summit Advisory Board.

With over a decade of experience in the sports industry, Tammy has built a reputation for leadership, strategic thinking, and driving meaningful partnerships. In 2017, she was recognized as the Jim Bottomley Person of the Year for her dedication and impact in professional sports.

Tammy previously served as General Manager of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association, where she led high-profile international sponsorships with brands like GMC and Wrangler—elevating visibility and growth for the sport.

Today, she brings her expertise to the University of Calgary as a Senior Consultant, where she is shaping a forward-thinking strategic plan to expand and enhance graduate programs across all faculties over the next five years.

Her experience managing complex projects, paired with a clear vision for innovation and growth, makes her an incredible addition to the future of Sport Summit.

With 18 years of event management experience supporting associations and member-driven organizations at both the board and executive levels, Leah brings a powerful blend of strategy and ex*****on to our Summit.

Her expertise in strategic alignment and stakeholder leadership ensures initiatives don’t just run smoothly, they create lasting impact. Having worked closely with boards, senior leaders, and committees, Leah understands the complexities of member-based organizations, competing priorities, and responsible resource stewardship.

Her background in venue operations and as an independent event planner adds a practical, entrepreneurial lens to her advisory work; a perspective that will be invaluable as we continue to grow Sport Summit as the premier sport conference in Western Canada.

Another powerhouse female sport professional has joined the Sport Summit 2026 Advisory Board! 💪🏽🏈

We’re proud to welcome Elisha Torraville, a national leader in Canadian football and a relentless advocate for women and girls in sport.

From founding the Southern Alberta Female Football League (SAFFL) and the U16 Female Team Alberta program, to serving as General Manager for Alberta’s U16, U18, and Senior Women’s provincial teams, Elisha’s impact spans grassroots to professional sport. She also sits on the Football Alberta Board, leads the Coach Mentorship Program, represents Alberta on Football Canada’s Women’s Leadership Committee, and made history as Director of Football Operations for the Edmonton Elks through the CFL’s Women in Football program.

At Sport Summit 2026, Elisha will serve as project lead, bringing strategic leadership focused on inclusive, safe, and high-impact sport environments—the kind that build strong teams and lasting change.
