The $2000 donation from Calgary women spring hockey tournament will be allotted to It Takes a Village Community Foundation's programs. These programs include:
- Baby Box Program (baby essentials)
- Car Seat Program
- Baby Sleep Safe Program (crib and mattresses)
- Diapers and Formula
- Christmas Program.

🙏 We are sending out a HUGE thank you to the Calgary Women's Spring Hockey Tournament for making a generous donation of $2,000.00 to BCO this week! This donation was made in memory of Carleton Holman and Carter Corrigan, two young volunteer scorekeepers/coaches whose big hearts and community spirit lives on with this act of kindness!

These funds will go directly to help local families in need this holiday season. This donation can provide for about 20 families during our🎄Christmas Feast campaign, which is just outstanding!

✨ On that note...our BCO elves are already making BIG plans for the holidays. To nominate a family that could use a hand up this year, please email [email protected], or DM us with details!

We are also looking for volunteers and donations of food, cash, or 🎁 toys/gifts for families in need. Please reach out if you can help!

We are disappointed to have to announce that the Calgary Women's Spring Hockey Tournament is permanently cancelled.

Who would have thought after 8 successful tournaments we’d be in this position today?

We appreciate your patience as we navigated through what adult team sports has faced over the past 20 months. After much contemplation we felt it was time.

Our pride in what this tournament had developed into is enormous! Through Sport, this tournament provided a unique opportunity for players to re-connect with past teammates, foster new friendships and unite the women’s hockey community. Our goal was to offer a competitive, fun and sustainable tournament to help grow the local game.

We saw players travel to Calgary from the USA, Territories and Western Canada all coming together for the same reason – to play this game we so love! A huge thank you is extended to the thriving hockey community in Calgary and its surrounding areas. We couldn’t have done this without your support! And lastly, thank you to the volunteers. Organizational efforts started in the Fall and continued to the last puck drop every April. To those volunteers working the tournament registering teams, scheduling, running the raffle table and organizing referees and scorekeepers, thank you!

We hope you continue to play this game we so love! Stay safe, stay healthy and thank you for your support over the years.
