Located in Mount Pleasant NW Calgary, just minutes from downtown, equipped with drums and PA, this practice space provides an affordable option for Calgary bands and musicians. The basement studio in our home is available to rent for solos, duos, and bands. 2.5 hour time slots on a first come first served basis:

Notes: As
we are located in a residential area (Mount Pleasant), our space is not appropriate for bands that depend on extremely high volume to achieve their sound. If the 300 watt PA is operated in the red, which can damage the speakers (and our good relationship with our neighbours),, it's a no go. Gear Available for Use (includes amps but you are welcome to bring your own):
- Yamaha Stagepass 300 PA system with 4 XLR and 4 quarter-inch inputs (see pic for channels); RCA line in with wires available for keys or if you have backing tracks or beats.
- Drums: Mapex shells and cymbals -- please bring your own sticks and bass drum pedal. (We have a pedal, but these vary greatly according to preference).
- Electric guitar amp consisting of Line 6 Flextone head and Marshall half stack (1 cabinet) with 2 x 12" speakers
- Two wedgeback acoustic guitar amps (an Ibanez and Fender Acoustisonic)
- An SWR Working Pro bass amp is available to borrow. You can store your amps here between practices if desired in a storage space off the main room;
- A Casio older style 66 key electric keyboard and stand
- 2 x Shure SM58 mics (one with switch, one without) and a Sennheiser 860
- Two cantilever mic stands and a pole-style stand
- Two music stands
- A triple guitar stand and several single guitar stands. Limited storage is available for bands who come often and want to leave some amps or gear in the space. Rate is $45 per 2.5 hour session.
