We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Axel Ruiz passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Axel was an incredible benefit to the development of Acrobatics in America. We will forever cherish the time he spent with us during our CIAC and ACRO Palooza évents.
Thank you Axel, you will be remembered and missed.

It is with sadness that we must officially announce today that the 2020 Calgary International Acro Cup (CIAC) and Acro Palooza events are cancelled. The local Alberta Government has extended the dates for the quarantine for the safety of Albertans and as such our event is not possible to host this year.

We will work our hardest to make sure that our next CIAC and Palooza events are the greatest yet.

We wish everyone health and safety through this and look forward to once again joining our incredible community in sport to do what we all love ACROBATIC GYMNASTICS!

Who will join us next year for the biggest international competition of its kind in Canada?

CIAC and Acro Palooza will take place July 2-5 2020 in Calgary, Canada!

Not only is the competition situated right next to the Rocky Mountains, next year it will also run alongside the infamous Calgary Stampede! The Calgary stampede is one of the most famous rodeos and carnival in North America!

The competition includes all of the category’s below;

CIAC- all FIG levels and youth category

Palooza- JO levels (USA developmental acro)
- Gymnaestrada (group routines)
- Master the Canes (hand block)

The date for the 2020 Calgary International Acro Cup is out! This year we are holding our competition the same week as the "greatest outdoor show on earth" the Calgary Stampede. The Canada International Acro Cup CIAC 2019 is officially over! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

This event has been absolutely outstanding and we have thoroughly enjoyed every second attending this competition and seeing this amazing country!

A special thank you to Calgary Acro & Jennie, Norm and Jane for hosting this competiton and making us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. You’ve not only catered for our huge team throughout the competition, you have taken steps to organise and accommodate extra excursions giving us added memories to take home with us!

From all of team Wakefield, we would like to say a huge thank you!!

We came to this event with 44 gymnasts. This was 11 JO partnerships and 8 Youth/FIG partnerships. We’re coming home with an incredible total of

5 SILVER🥈
2 BRONZE🥉

Absolutely phenomenal results and we are so incredibly proud of team Wakefield! It was great for us all to be able to attend this event as one and bring the different levels together!
