Our hearts are overflowing! When we asked you, our supporters, if you could help us with the vet expenses for our little boy Russell for his eye removal surgery and cancer testing...YOU CAME TO OUR RESCUE!!

Russell will be getting his surgery and the donations raised will also help with his aftercare expenses.
AND we wanted to let you know that donations over and above Russell's care will be put towards another emergency intake who needs to have a leg amputation.

Because of you, 2 beautiful souls will receive the medical care they need to live long and loving lives.

Even after everything he’s been through, he is still gentle, loving, and trusting. Cats are incredibly resilient — and with the right support, Russell has a real chance at a happy, pain-free life.

The Bean Scene YYC is a new citywide coffee adventure happening throughout June 2026, designed to get Calgarians out of their coffee zone—encouraging people to try new cafés, discover different drinks, and explore Calgary’s amazing coffee and tea scene.

Participating businesses will be featured in the Bean Scene Passport, where people can visit cafés across the city, collect stamps, discover new favourites, and win amazing prizes along the way.

Are you ready to piece something amazing together?

We’re gathering at the beautiful Central Library for an interactive Puzzle Club session — and this one is all about building momentum together!

What to Expect:

🧠 A quick presentation on:
• Types of puzzle competitions + practice formats
• Skill-building techniques
• Puzzle Month activations
• International Puzzle Day ideas
• Learning through puzzles (for all ages!)

💡 A collaborative brainstorm:
What do we want Puzzle Club to be?
How can we build shared leadership?
What events, tournaments, swaps, or community initiatives should we create?

Because this is YOUR club — and we’re building it together.

🧩 And of course… we will puzzle.
We cannot gather and not puzzle. That would be illegal. 😉

🧩✨ Thank you to everyone who attended the Puzzle Swap event! We loved seeing so many beautiful puzzles being swapped and shared.

A huge thank you to Phyllis Viznaugh and Bernice Smitzniuk from Legacy Estate Millrise for generously donating 30 stunning puzzles to the event 🙌.

We’re also so grateful to our participants for contributing these lovely puzzles you see here. 🧩

We received wonderful feedback on how to continue building a strong puzzle community in Calgary—ideas like hosting more events, making puzzles more accessible and affordable, offering more swap events, organizing a month-long celebration for National Puzzle Month in January, creating a variety of puzzle clubs, and even hosting recreational and competitive tournaments came up often. We’ll definitely be taking these suggestions to heart.
