🌾 Beyond the Barn: Meet the Team 🌾

Meet Annie, one of the newest members of the Peel Agricultural Society Board of Directors! 👋

Sometimes, making a difference starts with simply deciding to get involved. ❤️

After being a member of the community looking in from the outside, Annie decided it was time to step in, get involved and help shape the future of the organization.

Her motivation? Positive change and growth. She wanted to contribute her experience, ideas and time to help make a difference in the community she’s part of.

We’re excited to have Annie bringing her perspective, ideas and enthusiasm to the Peel Agricultural Society as we continue to grow and build for the future. 🌱

🌾 Beyond the Barn: Meet the Team 🌾

Meet Ruth — A Longtime Member of the Peel Agricultural Society! ❤️

Some stories with the Peel Agricultural Society don’t just go back a few years — they go back decades!

Ruth has been part of the Society since the 1980s. Her journey with the Society began thanks to her mother, who was involved with the Homecraft Section and asked Ruth if she would be interested in joining. What started as an introduction to volunteering became a lasting connection to the Society and the agricultural community.

Over the years, Ruth has been deeply involved with Homecraft, serving for many years as the Homecraft Secretary. She also served as District #5 Homecraft Director and Assistant Homecraft Director, and represented District #5 with the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies.

Today, Ruth continues to serve as a Director on the main Board, where she says the experience has been a learning journey — a wonderful example of how volunteering can grow into decades of involvement, friendships, leadership, and community.

From the old fairgrounds on Elliott Street to today, Ruth has been part of the story of the Peel Agricultural Society for generations. 🌾

Thank you, Ruth, for your many years of dedication, leadership, and service to our Society! 💚

Meet Laurie — Second Vice President! 👋

For Laurie, the Peel Agricultural Society is about community, tradition, family, and giving back. ❤️

Laurie has fond memories of bringing her children to the Fair every year, and those experiences inspired her to eventually become a volunteer herself. With strong agricultural roots and a deep appreciation for the tradition of the fall fair, joining the Society felt like the perfect fit. 🌾🎪

From helping behind the scenes to connecting with our community, Laurie is one of the many people who help keep the traditions of the Peel Agricultural Society going strong. 💚

• Requests for personal or banking information
• Messages claiming to be from the Peel Agricultural Society or Brampton Fall Fair

🌾 Beyond the Barn: Meet the Team 🌾

If you’ve ever wondered who is behind all the planning and organizing behind the Brampton Fall Fair, meet Trisha, the Fair Manager! 👋

Trisha’s connection to the Peel Agricultural Society isn’t just a job — it’s a family tradition. ❤️

Her parents were both longtime Board members, each working their way up to President, and Trisha grew up volunteering at the Fair every year alongside her family. After serving on the Board herself around 2016, Trisha officially stepped into the role of Fair Manager in 2024.

From a little girl growing up at the Fair to the person helping bring it all together today, Trisha knows what it means to be part of the Fair family. 🎡🌾

Thank you Trisha for everything you do to make the Fair happen! 👏❤️

From all of us at the Peel Agricultural Society, we’re wishing all the kids in our community an amazing first day back!

Whether you’re walking, biking, riding the bus, or being driven to school, we hope you have a safe journey and a fantastic year filled with new friends, new adventures, and lots of learning. 📚✨

Parents, teachers, bus drivers and caregivers — thank you for helping keep our community’s kids safe as everyone settles back into the school-year routine. ❤️
