Programs at the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton make a big difference in the lives of children and youth.
• The Bridging the Gap program is designed to address the root causes of youth becoming unhoused, including poverty, family conflict, and mental health issues.
• Education and Bursaries - For young people in care, however, pursuing higher education can seem like an unattainable dream. Financial barriers, lack of support, and unstable home lives can make it difficult for these youth to succeed in school and create a better life for themselves.
• The DREAMS Begin at Home program shows how community organizations can provide comfort and support, helping to heal the wounds of trauma and promote a brighter future for those who need it most.
• YouthSAID is more than just a program – it’s a movement. By providing opportunities for youth to participate in meetings with regional and provincial leaders, Youth SAID fosters a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
