In honor of PANDAS PANS awareness day today, Jagur’s Journey has donated $1000 to the Inflamed Brain Alliance, our new Canadian charity. I believe this brings us to around $5000 donated to this charity. First to help it get up and running, and today as a registered charity! Great work by some amazing families to get this started in Canada. Please consider donating if you can or at the very least checking out their website and liking their page! Both linked here!

Feeling a little emotional packing up these shirts to mail tomorrow. We started this run 5 years ago, while Jagur was just at the beginning of his PANDAS journey. We mostly wanted to create awareness about this illness. First, to protect him from judgement, so others would know he was sick, not a bad “apple”. Second, to honour what these kids go through. Third, to honour what the families go through. It still breaks our heart to know so many kids and families are in the trenches with this illness, but I hope this run helped in some small way for those to be recognized, but more importantly treated appropriately, and that can’t happen without awareness. We’re grateful to see improvements in care, support and understanding for these kids.

This year we wanted simple shirts for a special reason, because even though we called it Jagur’s Journey, it is also a daunting journey for so many others as well. And we recognize that, and we are cheering for you, for wellness, so that you may be all that you are meant to be and not what this illness makes you. We hope you enjoy your shirt this year. We have made the decision to go virtual only this year as most people have registered for that event. If you were planning to run out here on the 13th, message Melissa. We could still meet at the Manum Cabin and do a mini in-person event!
