“Our guests a unique experience to meet & greet over 80 artists on-site.
Combine this with Amazing Musical Entertainment, Food, an Amateur Art Competition, Live Art Demonstrations, an Art-ivity Zone for all ages, and a Special Exhibit, you don’t want to miss this Festival.
Experience a weekend of art, music, food and great company at the 2026 Buckhorn Festival of the Arts on Saturday, August 15 from 10am to 5pm; Sunday, August 16 from 10am to 4pm.
The Buckhorn Festival of the Arts brings professional, world-renowned artists from across Canada to the park-like setting of the Buckhorn Community Centre. This event originated as the first fundraising event in 1978 to help pay for the mortgage on the original buildings and land. Today, the show is known as one of the country’s premier events.
Not only does the show feature professional artists, but there’s also an Amateur Art Competition, Art Activity Zone, exhibit of youth art, and live music. As well, an annual Special Exhibit is curated by a committee of artists to bring something unique to each year’s event.”
Admission is by donation. Dogs must be leashed and are not allowed in buildings.

🎨 Welcome Back, Heather Lovat-Fraser! 🎨

We are thrilled to welcome returning artist Heather Lovat-Fraser back to the Buckhorn Festival of the Arts on August 15 & 16, 2026!

Heather's whimsical, colourful, and playful acrylic landscapes have become a favourite among festival visitors, bringing joy and imagination to all who view them. Featured here is her vibrant piece, "Colourful Water Front," a perfect example of the bright energy and charm that shine through her work.

Just as cheerful as her paintings, Heather is always a delight to have at the festival. Her warm personality and creative spirit make visiting her booth an experience as enjoyable as viewing her artwork.
