Hi, we’re Cookie Morton and Tracey Hertel, Brussels Four Winds Owner & Co Owner
Four Winds began with a dream shared by my mom, Cookie, and Bryan. Bryan had an incredible ability to look at old, deteriorating barns and see something beautiful—history and craftsmanship worth saving.
Mom shared that dream with him, and together they watched Four Winds come to life. Their hope was always for it to be more than a beautiful wedding venue. They wanted to create a gathering place where people could celebrate, connect and feel part of our little community.
Losing Bryan made continuing that dream even more meaningful. Today, Mom remains at the heart of Four Winds, while I work mostly behind the scenes supporting her and our amazing management team. Together, we hope to honour Bryan by continuing what he and Mom started and ensuring Four Winds remains a special part of the Brussels community.
When we see the barn filled with people, laughter, music and celebration, we can’t help but think of Bryan and the vision he had so many years ago. His dream is still very much alive, and we feel incredibly fortunate to help carry it forward!
