Good day everyone !

As we wrap up our 5th annual Brooks Smoker Wars we just want to take a few minutes to say thank you.

Five years ago, this event started with a simple idea: bring people together over great barbecue, friendly competition, and a chance to support our community. Looking around tonight, it’s incredible to see how much it has grown. What started as a small gathering has become something we can all be proud of, and that’s because of every single person here.

To all of our competitors, thank you. You spend countless hours preparing, perfecting your recipes, hauling your smokers, and putting your heart into every bite you serve. Your passion and sportsmanship are what make this event so special. We know the time, effort, and dedication it takes to compete, and we truly appreciate every one of you.

To our sponsors, thank you for believing in this event. Your generosity allows us to continue growing year after year and helps make Brooks Smoker Wars possible. Please join me in giving all of our sponsors a well-deserved round of applause. We simply couldn’t do this without your support.

To our volunteers, you’re the backbone of this event. From planning and setup to judging, registration, cleanup, and everything in between, you’ve given your time so others could enjoy this weekend. To our judges, vendors, entertainers, and everyone who helped behind the scenes, thank you for sharing your time and talents with us.

And finally, to our community, thank you for showing up year after year. Whether you came to cheer on your favorite team, enjoy some incredible barbecue, spend time with family and friends, or simply support a local event, your presence means everything. Events like this only succeed because a community chooses to support them, and Brooks continues to prove just how special it is.

As we celebrate this fifth year, we’re also looking ahead. We hope to keep building Brooks Smoker Wars into an event that brings people together, welcomes new competitors, supports local businesses, and creates memories for years to come.
