Bittersweet here at MYF as it’s this weekend that we would have been hosting all you beautiful spirits, making MAGIC.✨

As disheartened as we are to not be moving and breathing with you on the beautiful grounds of , we count our blessing for this community - thank you for your abundance of love for this practice.

Today we reflect on ACCEPTANCE. We follow the message that there are some things we cannot change. All we can do is flow with the continuously shifting tides.

Although we couldn’t open our doors, just know with open hearts we long for the collective essence of your energy.

We cannot wait for 2021, where we can once again embrace you with open arms.✌🏽

Happy summer solstice friends!
☀️
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year. It contains more hours between sunrise and sunset than any other day, presenting us with ample opportunities for warm-weather activities and simple summer fun. After the solstice, the days grow shorter as we move toward the autumnal equinox in September, during which light and dark fall into exquisite balance once more.
☀️
The solstice is a time to honor the sun and allow the welcoming arms of nature to embrace you. Your solstice celebration can be as simple as doing a little dance in bare feet on lush grass, or on a sandy beach or gather your tribe around a crackling bonfire. Or wash yourself clean, release the past, and prepare to accept the new season by taking a ritual dip in a lake, river, or the ocean. Even letting your toes splash around in puddles of June rain will help your inner sun shine.
☀️

Dear MYF family,

The Muskoka Yoga Festival had big goals for 2020, however the safety of our community is always our number one priority. It is with heavy hearts that we have postponed Muskoka Yoga Festival to next summer. We will miss everyone’s smiling faces, dancing feet and welcoming souls but we know that the spirit that thrives in all of you is not going away anytime soon. We can’t wait to welcome you back with open arms during Muskoka Yoga Festival 2021. Stay safe and be kind to one another.
Please see the link in our bio for more details on how we are honouring our 2020 participants.

Locally yours,
Maddie Lyndon♥️

THE ULTIMATE EARTH BOUND CREATORS. We see you. Working, sacrificing, serving, nourishing, deep feeling, and trying your best with the tools you’ve been given and the baggage you’ve been carrying. We see you striving for balance, for self-preservation. We see you managing the ever evolving loss and heartache that comes with a rearing life that is on its own independent path, out of your control.

Oh mama, we see you.

To the mamas in the thick, to the empty nest mamas, to the mamas who have suffered miscarriage or loss, to those who have lost their mommas, to the childless mamas that are yearning or have yearned, to the mamas working hard to stay connected with their babes, to the grown babes that have had to create boundaries with the mamas, YOU ARE A CHAMP.

Being a mama, having a mama, losing a mama - all of it is cloaked in challenge - the paradox of love and heartbreak coexisting in every moment. It’s beautiful. It’s hard. It’s real.

Oh mama, we see you. @ Muskoka Yoga Festival

A mother’s love is like a garden. Her children are the seeds. And as they grow, she tends to them. Fulfilling all their needs. Her kindness is like sunshine that warms them as they flower. Her nurturing, like springtime rain, a soft and gentle shower. A mother’s love is like a garden, reflecting tender care. For wherever there is beauty, a mother’s love is there. -Amanda Bradley

How lucky are we to have moments like this to look forward to? But we can't lose sight of what's most important right now. Nobody should be travelling. Stay home for now, and plan to … later.
