Please take a moment to review this demonstration of the Art of the Bridlehorse – 2026 Novice/Youth/Green Horse division Ranch Horse Challenge pattern but keep in mind!!! 🧠 The Intermediate, Advanced and Pro patterns are variations of this same pattern with the task challenges increasing in difficulty along with the division expectations so please make sure to review the most recent version of the Art of the Bridlehorse Riders Handbook and Appendix A to familiarize yourself with these differences.

PLANNING TO BE AT THE ART OF THE BRIDLEHORSE?

Don’t forget that Dr. Willow Holmes of Stride Equine Veterinary Services will be ON SITE September 26 & 27.

This is a great opportunity to have your horse seen by a veterinarian with a strong focus on performance horses, soundness and equine sports medicine while you’re already at the event.

Services may include performance soundness exams, joint injections, PRP and ProStride, digital X-rays, ultrasound, shockwave, dentistry, respiratory services and more.

We are very grateful to Stride Equine for continuing to support the Art of the Bridlehorse and our BCBHA Youth Ranch Roping Clinics.

To inquire about fees or book an appointment with Dr. Holmes while she is on site, text 250-214-9853 with your name, location and appointment goal.

MEET OUR 2026 ART OF THE BRIDLEHORSE ANNOUNCER, GORD COLLIAR!

We are pleased to welcome Gord Colliar as the announcer for the 2026 Art of the Bridlehorse.

Gord is a longtime Canadian ranch rodeo announcer and a familiar voice throughout the Western Canadian cowboy community. Known for his strong microphone presence and his deep understanding of ranching, horses, cattle and traditional working cowboy skills, he brings far more than announcing experience to an event.

His knowledge of the ranching and horse world, along with his appreciation for real working ranch skills, animal husbandry, stockmanship and western traditions, makes him a perfect fit for the Art of the Bridlehorse.

We’re excited to have Gord behind the microphone this year, bringing his experience, knowledge of ranching and western traditions, and unmistakable voice to the weekend.
