2027 Speaker: Ann-Marie Brissett-Laverty

After almost a decade of competing in Powerlifting, National competitor Ann-Marie decided to put the singlet aside in exchange for hiking boots and her tent coined as her “nylon mansion” .

Her story to the outdoors didn’t start when she was young, so this was all brand new to her. Years later, she is sharing her love and journey of the outdoors through her chuckle filled content.

Ann inspires others to take the leap with her. She’s a weekend warrior through and through. Her love for the backcountry isn’t complete without a paddle and fishing rod that she holds on to year-round.

Featured in the book “Tent Life”, Ann reminds us that getting outside shouldn’t be difficult. It is simply about doing the damn thing and living in the moment of it all!

We are beyond excited to announce that Joe Robinet is officially returning to the Hamilton Adventure Expo in 2027!

Known for his bushcraft skills and authentic approach to the wild, Joe has become a staple in the outdoor community. Whether you know him from his hit YouTube channel, his appearance on the survival series Alone, or his starring role in the documentary Nerves, Joe brings a wealth of knowledge and grit to everything he does.

Beyond the screen, Joe is an accomplished author, sharing his journey and expertise in his book, Surviving Joe: My Life In The Backcountry: Overcoming Demons, Drugs and Death.

Join us this January 23+24, 2027, to hear Joe speak about his latest expeditions, survival techniques, and the lessons he’s learned from a life lived outdoors.

Christina is a fixture in the Ontario outdoors community, known for her solo expeditions and her dedication to exploring year-round. Whether she’s paddling remote routes or hot-tenting through the winter, she always shares a real and practical look at life in the wilderness. Her journeys are a great reminder of the beauty in our own backyard and have inspired so many people to finally get outside and find their own adventures.

If you’ve watched her videos, you know Wendy is a breath of fresh air in the outdoor world.
