At the Almonte Fair you can find many different activities. You will also see a great midway, games, and food for every sweet tooth you may have.

“The North Lanark Agricultural Society’s mission is: To promote the importance of agriculture in our community through education, awareness and celebrating our rural traditions and heritage.”
Come celebrate the 166th Almonte Fair, September 11 - 13, 2026! Whether it is in the main hall filled with Crafts, Needle and thread, Culinary, Honey, Maple, Photography, Children's section, Special needs, Women's Institute, Horticulture, Hay, grain and seeds. Out on the grounds you can find different agricultural shows such as Light horse, Heavy horse, Dairy cattle, Beef cattle, Sheep, Pigeons, Pet show, Children's games, and the Education barn. There are also numerous draws and shows you can take part in. We also have our famous cow plop bingo and our comical outhouse races during the weekend.

🍂 Until Next Spring, Almonte Fairgrounds! 🍁

It’s always a little bittersweet when the time comes to put our beautiful fairgrounds to bed for the winter. ❤️

With our final volunteer work bee of the season wrapped up yesterday, we’re officially ready for the winter months ahead!

While Mother Nature may still be treating us to some lovely fall weather, the Almonte Fairgrounds are open annually from May Long Weekend through Thanksgiving Weekend. Sticking to this schedule helps us protect and preserve the grounds as we head into the colder, wetter months.

🌳 But that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the space!

During the closed season, a pedestrian gate remains open for those wishing to enjoy the grounds. We simply ask for a little help in keeping this beautiful community space looking its best:

🍃 Please take any garbage home with you.

🐾 Enjoy a walk with your four-legged friends, but please pick up after them and take their waste with you, too!

💚 A BIG thank you to our volunteers! From spring cleanups and summer maintenance to yesterday’s final work bee, so many helping hands have worked throughout the 2026 season to care for our grounds and buildings. We appreciate every bit of it!

We look forward to May 2027, when we can swing those gates open once again and welcome our community back for another wonderful season!

• Quick Meals: Hamburger/Tuna Helper & taco kits
• Pantry Staples: cereal, condiments & 1L juice
• Baby Needs: jarred or pouched baby/infant food
• Personal Care: deodorant, body wash, toothpaste & other hygiene supplies
• Household Essentials: cleaning supplies, large garbage bags & kitchen catchers

Come shop, score some great finds, fill a swag bag and help us fill the food bank shelves! 💛

Some of the most important parts of the Fair happen behind the scenes — and this year, Storm Internet kept us connected!

As a Presenting Sponsor of the Almonte Fair, Storm provided internet service throughout the fairgrounds, giving our team the connectivity we needed to keep things running all weekend long — from our admission gates and ticket scanners to the many behind-the-scenes pieces that keep a busy Fair moving.

Thank You, Everyone!
And just like that… the 166th Almonte Fair has come to a close! 🎡🌾
What a weekend. From the animals in the barns and exhibits in the Ag Hall, to the entertainment, food, competitions, laughter and memories made across the grounds — we are so grateful to everyone who was part of it.

To our volunteers, directors, committee members, exhibitors, vendors, entertainers, sponsors, community partners and everyone working behind the scenes — THANK YOU. An event like this simply does not happen without an incredible amount of time, work and community spirit.

And to everyone who came through our gates this weekend — thank you for choosing to spend your time with us. Whether the Almonte Fair has been part of your family tradition for generations or this was your very first visit, we hope you left with some great memories. ❤️

There are always things we learn, things we can improve and things we are already excited to build on for next year — but today, we are simply feeling grateful.

Thank you for supporting your local agricultural fair and helping us continue a tradition that has brought our community together for 166 years.

A limited number of wheelchair-accessible parking spaces are available on the fairgrounds for accessible permit holders.

All other parking is available on the surrounding streets. Please be kind to our neighbours, obey posted restrictions and never block a driveway, laneway or entrance.
