The 5th Edition of the International Black and Diversity Film Festival (IBDFF) is coming to Ajax from May 29 to 31, 2025, at the Hilton Garden Inn.

We are proud to bring this vibrant celebration of diverse stories and voices to Ajax for the very first time. This milestone would not be possible without the support of our dedicated community.

Special thanks to Mayor Shaun Collier for his continued leadership and commitment to fostering inclusion. His support of events like IBDFF helps promote cultural understanding and unity in Ajax.

Award-winning producer, writer, and author Kevin Romano-Huhn is a master storyteller. At 57, he made the bold decision to return to school, enrolling in the Toronto Film School to study Film & TV Production. There, he co-founded MARKD Productions, a video production company launched in collaboration with his classmates. Kevin’s journey in screen production began much earlier, in 2004, when he turned a vision into reality by producing his own TV and radio show—broadcast on major networks including NHL Network, FOX Sports, Sirius/XM, and TSN Radio.
