Arts Association Executive Director
Windwood Music Festival is an annual celebration of music, art, and community, featuring a diverse lineup of artists from around the world. Since its inception, the festival has grown into a beloved summer tradition, fostering a vibrant and inclusive cultural experience.
The festival is dedicated to supporting creative projects that bridge communities with classical and contemporary music. By bringing performances into public spaces, Windwood creates meaningful interactions between artists, audiences, and the environments they share, strengthening a sense of connection and belonging.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Executive Director to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the co-founders during the 2026 festival season (May–August), with part-time responsibilities from September to May and full-time work in peak summer months in future seasons.
Key Responsibilities
Shadow co-founders to learn festival operations and management
Collaborate with Artistic Directors on festival programming
Oversee core team members, including Event, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance leads
Support Creative Residency programming
Build relationships with partners, sponsors, and volunteers
Manage budgets and pursue funding opportunities
Qualifications
Ages 15–30; Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee with valid SIN
Experience in event or arts management preferred
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Interest in arts, music, and community engagement
Compensation
$20/hour, 35 hours/week for 8 weeks (April–August 29).
