Once again, we received a large number of registrations, and we sincerely thank you all for your interest in the Fritkot Tango Marathon. Due to the high demand, we had to close the registration process quickly, and many dancers are now on the waiting list.
We understand that this may be disappointing for some of you, and we hope you can appreciate that we follow certain guidelines to create a balanced and enjoyable group of dancers. This includes maintaining an international mix (with a maximum of 20% per country this time) and continuing to renew our community (with 30% new participants, as in previous years).
After organizing eight marathons, we are still learning. This time, we introduced a single registration system, which had both positive and negative effects. While it gave new participants a better chance to join, it also reduced opportunities for some of our loyal attendees.
We also sincerely apologize to couples or groups of friends who may have been unintentionally separated during the selection process. Please know that we are doing our best.
