A breather from the buzz 💆‍♀️ The Sensory Rave Spa by .berlin created a restorative oasis at the centre of the festival, tucked away underground. A place to slow down, reset the senses and reconnect through sound, touch, scent, light, hydration and rest.

All fueled by .kefir, whose organic water kefirs bring together living cultures, freshness and natural benefits for the body.

A small fire beneath a leaning sky. Winners of the annual fritz-kolab Open Design Call for young architects, , & created Burden of Dreams - an intervention suspended between fireplace and shelter.

The result is born from a single gesture: a lightweight structure leaning against the existing wall to form a large inclined roof. Between ground, wall, and canopy, a generous space unfolds simultaneously open and protective. Above the roof, a slender chimney rises like a quiet signal, announcing the fire from afar. And on the wooden platform, you can sit, talk, or simply watch the dancing flames.

The installation was brought to life through fritz-kolab,’s cultural initiative to provide a space for artists to co-create meaningful experiences at festivals, and the tireless dedication of Horst Atelier volunteers, their leads Benjamin Wylin and Ewan Nightingale.

Burden of Dreams remains on view in Asiat Park as part of the summer programme of the park. You can visit Burden of Dreams through a guided arts tour on weekends.

After a dedicated week of our first-ever performance Atelier, HYMN came to life during the festival weekend. Developed as a POC-only collective space led by Fallon Mayanja, in partnership with The Constant Now, the participants worked on a deeply personal performance. Integrating sound, voice, and movement, the multidisciplinary performance focused on foregrounding historically marginalised voices.

The result? A powerful, living communal act performed three times for a live audience in the Rain Room at Horst Festival 2026. Can sounding together become an act of social resilience? In HYMN, it did.

Not quite sure where to start but a sincere thank you feels about right…

This weekend felt intentional and pure. Seeing you open to genuinely be moved by what we believe is worth hearing, seeing, and experiencing is something we don’t take for granted. If we managed to spark you in whatever way possible, or to shift perspectives just a weee little bit, we believe we succeeded at what we set out to do. Thank you so much.
