Na het beluisteren en bekijken van de concerten van de zes bands die deelnamen aan de Belgische voorrondes (in Harelbeke en Hoeilaart) selecteerde de jury - bestaande uit Maarten Weyler en Aygül Günaltay - deze twee bands om deel te nemen aan de finale van B-Jazz 2026: Mano Trio & Apokalypso.

Mano Trio en Apokalypso zullen optreden tijdens de B-Jazz finale, van 4 tot 6 september 2026 tijdens het Jazz in ’t Park-festival in Gent.

De komende weken maken we de namen bekend van de andere 4 finalisten.

APOKALYPSO = Bolster De Koster + Charel Maes + Lukas Jouck + Michiel Los + Ruben Verbeeck

🎉 𝐈𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁-𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓!

Over the past three days, Muziekmozaïek hosted the grand finals of B-Jazz at Jazz in 't Park in Ghent. Six finalists — representing seven nationalities — brought their very best to the stage, delighting both audience and jury with brilliant concerts.

After the final performance, the jury faced a difficult decision given the exceptionally high level of all participants. In the end, the ‘Grand Prix Albert Michiels’ went to 𝐈𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬. The award was presented live at the festival in the presence of Joris Vandenbroucke, 'Schepen van plezier' for the City of Ghent. The group consists of Emiel Verneert (trumpet, Belgium), Nikita Sipiagin (alto saxophone, USA), Genius Lee Wesley (drums, USA), Joan Codina (double bass, Spain) and Max Teakle (piano, Australia).

A heartfelt thank you to all bands (Răzvan Florescu Quartet, Elena Stamatopoulou Quartet, Anja Gottberg Quartet, The Green Mean Machine, Andrea Cardone 4tet and Idle Moments), our international jury, festival Jazz in ’t Park and partners Getxo Jazz (Spain), Saint Louis College of Music (Italy), Brașov Jazz and Blues Festival (Romania), Conservatorium Maastricht (the Netherlands), De Jazzontspooring, Rataplan, Jazz at Felix and Pelt Jazz for making this 45nd edition such a success!
