We warmly invite you to join the international visitors’ programme at Shakespeare is dead, the very first playwriting festival in the Dutch-language area🎭
📍 June 9–13, 2026 in Leuven
🌍 Discover contemporary Dutch-language playwrights in an international context and connect with artists from diverse backgrounds
During the festival there will be an international programme from Tuesday June 9th until Thursday June 11th 2026, which includes:
👉 the grand opening with walking dinner, debates, performances, networking lunches & many more
📖 Reading Room (Wed + Thu): staged readings of new texts, specially translated into English for the festival and performed by professional actors. We are proud to present the recent works of the following playwrights: Ahilan Ratnamohan [BE], Annet Bremen [NL], Bart Van Nuffelen [BE], Carl von Winckelmann [BE], Eva Gouda [NL], Giovanni Brand [NL], Nina van Tongeren [NL], and Ruth Bruyneel [BE].
