Chateau d'Enghien - Kasteel van Edingen IMUSE is a Chamber Music Festival with top level master classes during the day & evening concerts.

This festival takes place in the 2nd half of August, every year since 1991.

We are delighted to announce that from August 17–23, 2026, Professor Grimm will give a special series of master classes in Enghien, Belgium.

In a short video, he shares how music first entered his life, what inspired him to dedicate himself to teaching, and why artistic freedom is so important for every musician.

Students can expect intensive lessons focused on musicality, interpretation, sound, and personal expression. Professor Grimm’s classes are known for their inspiring atmosphere, individual approach, and deep attention to artistic detail.

As every year for over 30 years, we invite you to spend a week at our festival and masterclasses - Rencontres Musicales Internationales d’Enghien- IMUSE in a beautiful castle in Enghien, Belgium.

IMUSE 2026 - Enghien, Belgium
A week of music, inspiration, and real artistic connection at the Château d’Enghien (17–23 August)

• Lisa Jacobs – a Dutch violinist performing internationally as both a soloist and chamber musician. She is known for her expressive interpretations and engaging stage presence, and she actively supports young musicians through teaching and projects.

• Valentina Igoshina – an internationally acclaimed pianist who has performed in major concert halls across Europe and beyond. Her playing is praised for its depth, sensitivity, and refined musical storytelling.

• Razvan Popovici – a Romanian violist and passionate chamber musician, founder of several international festivals. He is especially dedicated to connecting musicians and building meaningful ensemble experiences.

• Justus Grimm – a German cellist and professor with a long career in performance and teaching. He regularly gives masterclasses and is known for his thoughtful approach to sound and interpretation.

• Daniel Ottevaere – a bass singer with extensive stage experience in opera and concert repertoire. Alongside performing, he is an active teacher working closely with young singers.

• Diana Ketler – a Latvian pianist specializing in chamber music, performing worldwide with leading musicians. She is also a professor and artistic director, deeply involved in developing chamber music projects

Pianist Olivier Roberti, founding director of Rencontres Musicales, brings this musical project to life together with his team through their skill, experience, and dedication. Their shared passion for music shapes an inspiring and truly professional artistic environment.
