Show Up for Humanity was never just a festival.
It was a collective act of resistance against cynicism, exhaustion and division.

Under the Atomium, 60 artists and speakers stood up for empathy. Our Action Village and website became a place to learn about ethical banking, effective giving, volunteering and unions.
Every plate, every bite, every backstage meal was plant based.
Together with .be and , we launched a citizen survey on solidarity.
We consciously partnered with fair, ethical organizations.

The impact traveled far beyond the field:
over 16 million press impressions across newspapers, TV and radio, and more than 700,000 livestream views. 🥹

Let’s be honest: 2025 was a strange year.
Livestreamed genocide. War. Climate collapse.
And still, together, we proved that choosing hope over fear and care over cynicism is possible.

At , we wanted every choice to reflect our values — including what we put on our plates. So we made the entire event fully plant-based🌱
Backstage, artists and crew were fuelled by: fresh vegan meals from , delicious local fruit from , cakes and sweets by and the creamiest cappuccinos by ☕️

And for the audience?
🌿 plant-powered food trucks like , .be , .be
🍟 fries with vegan mayo (obviously)
🍕 from pizza to dumplings, from brownies to ice cream — every single bite was fully plant-based.

Because showing up for humanity also means showing up for the planet. Curious to try more plant-based food yourself? .belgie and .be share extra tips, recipes and small swaps to get you started at home.

Eating plant-based is one of the most impactful ways to live more sustainably — it drastically lowers your carbon footprint and uses far less water than animal agriculture.

It’s been seven weeks since we stood together at . And we can’t stop thinking about what’s next.
is more than one festival — it’s a movement to turn worry into action. And we want to build it together.
That’s why we’re hosting our very first Worried Citizens Gathering on November 24 at our headquarters in Antwerp.

Saturday’s Bar Omar at .world felt like a warm blanket — thank you to everyone who came by. 🧡 With Show Up, it truly feels like we’re building something beautiful together — a kind, connected community.

Delicious pizzas, the best pastries, cozy coffees, and cold beers… what more could anyone wish for?

And how about that comeback from and — playing together again after 11 years?! Pure heartwarming magic.
