For the 33rd edition, we chose to go somewhere unexpected, somewhere that deserves far more attention than it gets: Armenia.

Over the course of the competition, our international jury blind-tasted 7,700 red, white and sparkling wines from 51 countries. 🌍

🇵🇹 A highlight of the day: the announcement of the CMB's 2027 host, the iconic Douro Valley in Portugal!

🏆 And to close in style, the gala evening was the perfect occasion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, and to honour the professional tasters who stand out for their dynamism and dedication to the sector.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this edition unforgettable.

Between tasting sessions, our experts from all four corners of the world had the opportunity to visit ArmAs Estate and Armenia Wine Company, discovering even more about the richness and diversity of Armenian vineyards. 🇦🇲

This is also 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗠𝗕: not only tasting wines from around the globe, but also using our presence in each host country to explore its vineyards, terroirs and wine culture. By doing so, we help promote both the wines and the country itself worldwide.

That’s what makes the CMB a competition, and so much more.✨
