We offer exhibitions, film screenings, conferences, a library, cooking and language classes (KCC King Sejong Institute). Nous offrons des expositions, des soirées de cinéma, des conférences, une bibliothèque, et des cours de cuisine et de langue (KCC King Sejong Institute). NL- Het Koreaans Cultureel Centrum van Brussel opende de deuren eind november 2013 voor iedereen die zich interesseert in de Koreaanse cultuur. From Coachella stage to your closet — how is Korean traditional dress reshaping global fashion today?

The Korean Cultural Center to the EU & Belgium, in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, invites you to an exclusive open lecture with Ha Eun Chang, founder & Principal Director of OUWR!

As part of the 2026 , this lecture explores how Hanbok’s heritage, construction, and visual language can be translated into contemporary fashion education and design.

Renowned for designing BLACKPINK’s Coachella 2023 stage costumes, NewJeans’ VOGUE Korea Hanbok, and collaborating with global icons like Kim Tae-ri, Bae Suzy, Hugh Jackman, and Ryan Reynolds, Ha Eun Chang will share her journey of bringing traditional Korean dress onto the global stage.

Van het Coachella-podium tot in je kleerkast — hoe geeft traditionele Koreaanse kleding vandaag mee vorm aan de internationale modewereld?

Het Koreaans Cultureel Centrum voor de EU & België nodigt je, in samenwerking met de Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, uit voor een bijzondere open lecture met Ha Eun Chang, oprichter en directeur van OUWROUWR !

Deze lezing maakt deel uit van het project en verkent hoe het erfgoed, de constructie en de beeldtaal van hanbok vertaald kunnen worden naar hedendaags modeonderwijs en design.

Ha Eun Chang is onder meer bekend voor de podiumkostuums van BLACKPINK voor Coachella 2023 en de hanbok van NewJeans voor VOGUE Korea. Daarnaast werkte ze samen met internationale sterren als Kim Tae-ri, Bae Suzy, Hugh Jackman en Ryan Reynolds. Tijdens deze lezing vertelt ze hoe ze traditionele Koreaanse kleding naar het internationale podium brengt en herinterpreteert voor een hedendaags publiek.

🎬 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: 2026 Korean Film Week 🎥✨

Love Korean cinema and want to experience festival life behind the scenes? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team in Brussels this October!

○ Key Responsibilities
• Checking tickets and guest list management
• Distributing program brochures, conducting audience satisfaction surveys, and compiling statistics
• Assisting with audience reception and inquiries
• Supporting general festival operations • Event photography (for photography volunteers)

○ Qualifications
• Available to work every day during the festival period (1 Oct & 3 Oct): 15:00 – 23:00, (2 Oct & 4 Oct): 17:00 – 23:00
• Passionate about Korean culture and cinema
• Multilingual (fluent in at least two of the following: French, Dutch, English, or Korean)
• Aged 18 or older and legally eligible to work/volunteer in Belgium • Proficient in event photography (only applicable for photography volunteer position)

○ Working Conditions & Benefits
• Official volunteer agreement provided
• Free access to all film screenings and festival events
• Period: 1 October – 4 October, 2026 (Must be available for all 4 days)

○ Required Documents & Application Process
• CV (Free Format): Written in English or French
• Preferred Role: Please specify your preferred role(s) from the responsibilities listed above.
• Portfolio (Photo Applicants Only): Please attach samples of your photography work.

○ Selection Process

Bringing together 46 works from the late Joseon period to today, the exhibition places historic works alongside contemporary practices — revealing how artists inherit, transform, and expand the language of Korean painting.
