The Great Wave has left the Grand-Place, but the images of this edition will stay with us for a long time.

Thank you to everyone who came to discover the Flower Carpet 2026.

Thank you to the teams, volunteers, partners and everyone who helped transform more than 500,000 dahlias into a spectacular ephemeral artwork.

For four days, Brussels and Japan came together through art, flowers and a shared celebration of culture and heritage.

Today is the final day of the Flower Carpet 2026.

You only have a few hours left to admire The Great Wave in flowers on Brussels’ Grand-Place and the show.

🌸 The Grand-Place remains freely accessible throughout the day.
🏛️ Admire the full floral composition from the balcony of Brussels City Hall.
🎟️ Balcony tickets can be purchased directly at the dedicated ticket desk on site.
✨ Final sound and light shows tonight, from 9 pm to 11 pm, every 15 minutes.

Do not let The Great Wave disappear without seeing it. 😀

Behind every flower, there’s a team. 🌸

The Flower Carpet 2026 is the result of hours of work, the dedication of many volunteers and a unique collaboration between Belgium and Japan, celebrating 160 years of friendship between our two countries.

Together, they brought The Great Wave to life in the heart of Brussels.

Now it’s your turn to come and admire this spectacular creation on the Grand-Place.

A little look back at an incredible day.

The Great Wave has now come to life in the heart of Brussels’ Grand-Place.

You still have until Sunday, August 16 to come and admire this ephemeral artwork, freely accessible from the Grand-Place.

And as night falls, stay to experience the sound and light show, presented every evening from 9 PM to 11 PM, every 15 minutes.

🎟️ Tickets for the balcony of Brussels City Hall are also available on site.

Watching his artwork come to life, flower by flower, in the heart of Brussels. 🌸
