Today, the 24th of February, marks the fourth year since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Once again, the European Parliament pays tribute to the brave people of Ukraine, who continue to resist and defend their country.

This image is taken from the 2025 LUX Audience Award nominee Intercepted, directed by Oksana Karpovych. The documentary portrays life in wartime Ukraine through intercepted calls between Russian soldiers and their families, set against the quiet resilience of liberated Ukrainian landscapes.

We will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes.
