🌍 And the winner of the European Short Film Audience Award is…
It was the Opening Ceremony of the European Short Film Audience Award at the Brussels Short Film Festival : a key moment of the season celebrating the winners of the 2025-2026 ESFAA tour 👉Congratulations to Natalie Musteata and Alexandre Singh, winners with Two People Exchanging Saliva !
A year after winning the National Audience Award in Clermont-Ferrand, Two People Exchanging Saliva went on to the Oscars, where it won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. And today, the film wins the European Short Film Audience Award 🏆
The ceremony was not only an opportunity to celebrate last year’s winners, but also to officially launch the new 2026-2027 ESFAA tour, dedicated to showcasing European short films across a network of partner festivals. Since 2019, ten iconic festivals across Europe have joined forces to award the Audience’s Favourite Short Film. After winning over their national audiences, ten short films now embark on a European tour, reaching more than 511 million viewers.
We wish the films of this new tour the very best of luck :
