Time to get to know the exhibitors!

Thomas More unit carries Mechelen’s historic furniture tradition into the present, with contemporary prototyping across its Interior Design (IV & OHO) and Furniture Design (VOMO) programs.
For 2025, three new student designs form a thoughtful and diverse ensemble:

– OHO – UNTITLED
An outdoor table shaped by transformation: a charred, robust mooring post balanced on slender stainless-steel beams, crowned by a refined 2 mm tabletop. A dialogue between roughness and elegance.

Flor Heyrman – IV – TRIANGLE
A rack made from a single folded steel plate. Three triangular planes interlock for strength, allowing rotation, reconfiguration, and full recyclability—no fastenings, no waste.

– VOMO – STERK ÈS EIK
A stool constructed from oak-veneer tubes. Light yet remarkably strong, each tube supports weight alone, even more so together—an exploration of structural efficiency in wood.

We’re delighted to have them as one of the exhibitors!

Time to get to know the exhibitors!

Mie Ghesquiere is a Belgian ceramic artist, educator, and founder of Tussenin. Working with clay since 1993, she has developed a poetic, nature-inspired visual language shaped by years of practice in studios across Europe and Asia.
Her sculptures echo the sea’s delicate forms, soft, serene, and subtly playful, always guided by a sense of natural simplicity and tenderness. Recent work includes Fruits of Passion, organic functional pieces, and Pour Toujours, a series of meaningful, hand-shaped urns. Mie continues to create, teach, and foster community through Tussenin.

Time to get to know the exhibitors!

Founded in 2024, Van Vossel’s new label focuses on handcrafted pieces that explore simplicity at its most intriguing. Rooted in an “inside-the-box” design philosophy, the studio rethinks familiar forms from within rather than reinventing them outright.
At FOR THE NOW, the label presents its full debut collection: seven pieces including a chair honouring 100 years of Bauhaus, alongside puristic lighting fixtures and smart accessories.

We’re delighted to have him at the expo!

Her practice focuses on how objects, spaces and interactions relate, aiming for sustainable, honest and thoughtful design.
