✨ Last Day of FestiVita! 2026 — What a Journey! ✨

Last Sunday marked the final day of FestiVita! 2026 — and what a beautiful celebration it has been. Thank you to all the artists, partners, and audiences who made this edition so vibrant and unforgettable.

Our closing Sunday brought together imagination, music, and meaningful encounters:

🌞 Rêve d’été — a dreamy all-ages performance with Les Abbagliati
🍽 À Table with the Bach Family — featuring Laureates Première 26 with actor Bruno Georis and musi-culinologist Marc Vanscheeuwijck, inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach
💬 Première rencontre — a special moment of exchange with our festival godfathers Kris Verhelst & Peter Van Heyghen
🎶 BachPlus with Bart Naessens, exploring music by Jan Dismas Zelenka and Johann David Heinichen

From morning dreams to evening harmonies — this was the perfect way to say goodbye.

✨🍽️ Throwback to our Baroque Banquet – Banquet-qu’on-sert 🎶🍺

Last Sunday, we stepped back in time for an unforgettable 18th-century Saxon banquet, blending history, flavor, theatre, and music in one immersive experience 🕯️

Guests relived the atmosphere of an old-world feast, spiced up by the brilliant interventions of actor Bruno Georis 🎭 and accompanied by live performances from the award-winning ensembles of the Concours Première 🎻✨

On the menu? A Saxon feast inspired by Baroque traditions, imagined by musiculinologist Marc Vanscheeuwijck and brought to life by chef Thierry Lefèvre 👨‍🍳🍖

From medieval roots to French-influenced sauces, river fish, pastries, coffee, cacao — and of course beer & wine — this culinary journey reflected the rich evolution of Saxon cuisine during the time of Johann Sebastian Bach (himself a great lover of good food and good beer 😉🍺).

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this unique moment of shared history, music, and taste 💛
