We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Walther, better known to many of us as Big General.

Over the years, Big General joined us behind the decks at Darklands many times, sharing his music and energy with our community.

We are grateful for the moments, the music and the memories he shared with us.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and everyone who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace and thank you for the music Big General. 🖤

You will be missed.

The decks have spoken. The jury has made its choice. And we have a winner.

Congratulations to DJ Pol, winner of the Darklands DJ Contest 2027!

Born in Ghent and now based in the Netherlands, DJ Pol first stepped behind the decks in the ’90s, playing gay parties and private play parties. After taking a break from DJing, the pull of the booth proved too strong. Since returning, he has brought his sound to events including Sneaky, Fe**sh Social Brabant, Gladiatrix, G4Y and LeatherprideNL.

We put the winning set in our bio!
